The Hardbody Lever - Patented
The Hardbody Lever is built from forged aluminium, engineered to provide exceptional rigidity with significantly reduced weight. The forging process compresses the metal’s grain structure, creating a strong and dense component. This results in a mechanism that balances lightweight handling with impressive durability and stability under load.
This patented system introduces a metal-on-metal clasp interface, designed to provide a solid and consistent locking feel during bracing. While traditional levers rely on a single closing motion, this mechanism incorporates a controlled, two-stage engagement system that improves setup stability and reduces the chance of misalignment when tightening the belt.
Specifically designed for our Hardbody 13mm Lever Belts. This mechanism is not compatible with our 10mm belts. Intended for lifters who want a premium, precision-built upgrade backed by engineered reliability.
Technical Details
- Compatible with Hardbody 13mm Lever belts
- Not compatible with Hardbody 10mm belts
- Forged aluminium construction
- Weight-efficient design
- Patented metal-on-metal clasp system
- Two-stage locking system (Pre-Latch and Final Lock)
How the Mechanism Works
Pre Latch Stage - Engage the top plate into the receiver. A centrally positioned ball-spring detent applies light retention force, helping keep the mechanism aligned while the belt is being positioned. This makes tightening easier without introducing unnecessary tension before locking.
Final Lock Stage - Rotate the lever past the over-centre point. This mechanical advantage creates firm belt tension and a secure lock for bracing. The forged aluminium structure and metal-on-metal interface contribute to a stable closing action with a consistent feel.
To release, lift the lever to disengage the tension, then unhook the plate from the receiver.
This system is designed for stability, repeatability, and reduced wear over long-term use.
Purpose-Built Advantages
- Consistent metal-on-metal clasp engagement
- Forged aluminium construction for improved durability over zinc alloy levers
- Pre-latch retention assists with setup before locking
- Over-centre locking geometry helps prevent accidental opening under load
- Reduced strain on belt sizing holes during fastening
- Four-screw mounting system for stability
Product Materials
Forged Aluminium
Product and Material Care
Forged aluminium is naturally resistant to corrosion and will maintain its finish with proper care.
To clean the mechanism:
Use a microfibre cloth with metal polish or glass cleaner to remove fingerprints and marks.
Avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemical cleaners, which may dull the finish.
Assembling Your Lever Belt
Remove both the belt and mechanism from the packaging.
Slide the screws through the holes on the backplate of the mechanism.
Use a Phillips head screwdriver to secure the screws to the lever.
Position the mechanism on your Hardbody 13mm Lever Belt and adjust before fully tightening the screws.
Measure around your core just above the belly button. Do not base sizing on waist or clothing sizes. Select the belt size that matches your core measurement.
Close the lever firmly and check that the mechanism is fully secure before lifting.
Always lift safely with correct form.
